Police in Mukono district has kicked off investigations into the death of a Quality Plastics employee, one Isaac Ecudu, 24.
Ecudu, a resident of Nangwa village in Nakisunga Sub-County, in Mukono district was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife identified as Salome Aanyu,20, on Friday under unclear circumstances.
The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, says detectives from Mukono Police recovered a blood-stained shirt from the deceased’s home and arrested his wife as a prime suspect.
“According to the neighbours, the couple got involved in a fight that prompted Aanyu to pull out a knife stabbing Ecudu to death,” said Owoyesigyire.
“We want to caution couples to desist from domestic violence. Instead, they should consider seeking help and advice from the relevant agencies that offer it before resorting to domestic violence,” he added.
The preliminary police investigations show that the deceased has been a machine operator at Quality Plastics Limited.
Meanwhile, Police in Kampala is investigating the circumstances under which a Ndeeba-based technician, one Edward Muwawu, died.
Muwawu’s body was found lying inside his home in Masajja Zone, in Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality, in Wakiso district on Saturday.
“Examination of the body indicates that it had no external injuries but inquiries are still ongoing to establish the exact cause of his death,” said Owoyesigyire.
