What next for Bobi Wine

Since Kyaddondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine came out to announce that he is ready to challenge President Yoweri Museveni on the presidential seat come the next general elections, he has faced several challenges including brutal arrests, imprisonment, banning his music shows, losing dear ones in shooting like; he lost his driver and friend Yasin Kawuma on 13th August 2018 who was allegedly shot by SFC soldiers while he was sitting in Bobi Wine’s car Tundra.

Bobi wine has toured the world preaching against the non-democratic ruling government of Uganda which he says that it has oppressed the citizens.

He has composed several political rival songs including, Situka Tutambule, Tuliyambala engule, Afande, among others.

However the government has proved him useless and weak by use of police to block his music shows, beating him, damaging his property like cars, imprisoning him over several charges.

Bobi wine’s supporters have been arrested after different protests.

Bobi wine was blocked from staging a music show on Easter Monday at one Love beach Busaabala, he addressed journalists at his home on the next day where he announced a protest, this opted police to besiege him at his home under house arrest that took three days

When he was released, CID summoned him immediately which he obeyed but police blocked him on his wait Kibuli CID headquarters and transported him to Naggalama police station where he was made to record his statement and immediately drove him to Buganda Road court, charged and sent to Luz7ra prison where he spent four days and released on court bail.

Some of his supporters have cursed the ruling NRM government saying that whatever is done to rue Bobi wine’s plans and life will be done to President Museveni in return Though none of Bobi wine’s supporters can guess what is next for him if he cannot stage any music show as music is his first source of income and no protests he can lead as one way to fight for democracy or seek justice.
