Stop using excessive powers on Bobi Wine-LoP warns police

Leader of opposition Betty Aol Ochan has warned police against using excessive powers on Kyaddondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine that this is abuse of his rights as a musician and a leader as well.

LoP Ochan’s warning to police came after police resisted Bobi Wine from accessing Kasangati police where he was going on Wednesday to drop his letter to commanders seeking permission to do peaceful protest and explanation why he was blocked from singing on Easter Monday

Hon.Ochan says that police need to observe the way it handles leaders which she says that police brutally arrest leaders hence violating their rights.

“this leader has his constituency but yesterday was blocked from going to parliament on behalf of Kyaddondo East people when police put him for house arrest” She noted.

Hon.Ochan said this while visiting Hon. Kyagulanyi at his home in Magere on Thursday where she was accompanied with several MPs including Odong Otto, Barnabas Tinkasimire among others.

According to police Bobi Wine, was arrested from his home to prevent him from committing crime.
