Maj.Gen.Kyaligonza introduces self to Naguru police headquarters over Assault case.

Ugandan Burundi Envoi Major General Matayo Kyaligonza has introduced himself to Naguru Police headquarters on cases of assault, obstructing a traffic police officer on duty and violation of traffic laws.

Around mid-day Maj.Gen.Kyaligonza who was accompanied with his lawyers reached the police headquarter on Friday.

Immediately after stepping at the headquarters he was led to the General Inspector of Police Martin Okoth Ochola’s office where he spent almost 6 hours.

However, Kyaligonzas has just whisked away from the headquarters but one of his Lawyers Evans Ochieng talked to journalists who had waited from outside and denied the case of Assault on behalf of his client.

Lawyer Ochieng said that he knows his client as a humble, kind, and respectful retired army officer who could not involve in such a case.

Yesterday Thursday president Museveni came out and condemned the behaviors of Maj.Gen.Kyaligonza together with his bodyguards who are currently under bars and he advised Kyaligonza to request and join Somalia war if he thinks that he is too energetic.

Last week police through its spokesperson Fred Enanga said that they will soon summon Maj.Gen.Kyaligonza so that he can record his statement and then face the trials on cases of assault, obstructing a police officer on duty

Two weeks back Maj.Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza a Ugandan ambassador in Burundi together with his two bodyguards assaulted a  traffic police officer Sargent Esther Namaganda when they came out of their car and slapped her because she had stopped them from making a U-turn from the middle of the road along Jinja road.
