The Inspector General of Government (IGG) justice Irene Mulyagonja has said she is ready to face Parliament’s Rules, Privileges and Disciplinary Committee on claims that the Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and state enterprises (COSASE) was bribed by Bank of Uganda officials over the probe.
Justice Mulyagonja said that she has all the evidence about the accusations.
Mulyagonja’s response followed speaker of the parliament Rebeca Kadaga accused the IGG’s office of overstepping its mandate by ordering ISO to investigate parliament over COSASE released report.
Other members of the parliament including Nakaseke MP Paul Luttamaguzi Ssemakula have condemned this saying that it was wrong for the IGG’s office to generalize parliament on this matter instead of investigating of individual members of the committee.
