Finally, Munyagwa declared as COSASE boss as Kasibante dropped.

After a wordy war for some period of time Kawempe North member of the parliament Mubarak Munywagwa has been declared as Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises Chairman after Hon. Abdul Katuntu and his deputy Anite Among have completed their investigations into bank of Uganda and closure of local banks.

However, Lubaga North MP Hon. Moses Kasibante was canceled from deputizing Munyagwa by the speaker of parliament as he was appointed before by opposition chief whip Hon. Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda as the vice.

He was instructed that he should remain as member parliamentary committee appointed by the president of Uganda.

Hon. Ssemuju said that he will have to meet speaker Rebeca Kadaga so that she can explain why Kasibante was not allowed to remain as Munyagwa’s vice.

Hon. Kasibante is yet to know the exact committee where the speaker wants him to be.

“I am preparing to lead my delegation and go to speaker’s office and inquire why Kasibante was dropped as COSASE vice chairperson” Said Hon. Ssemuju.

Recently, Moses Kasimbante threatened to boycott COSASE meetings until the newly appointed leaders are declared and take the oath

This follows the expiration of Hon. Abdul Katuntu and his vice Anite Among on 13th January and they continue leading the committee as they were granted by the speaker of parliament Rebeca Kadaga to enable them to complete the investigations into Bank of Uganda.
