MP Zaake is ill, Lawyers awaits Police response

Mityana municipality Member of Parliament Francis Zaake’s Lawyers requested police to accept their client introduce himself to Kibuli CID police headquarters after he gets better because he finds it challenging to travel every day as he was directed by police especially in this period where he feels ill.

Zaake’s Lawyers led by Medard Lubega Sseggona, Nicholas Opio were the ones reported to Kibuli CID on Wednesday on behalf of their client who was reportedly hospitalized.

The Lawyers said that their client would report at midday but at around 2:00 pm they both came back to Kibuli with hospital documents to assure CID officers that their client was not able to travel to Kibuli because he was duly receiving medical attention.

Here the dual requested police to accept their client to introduce himself after he is cured.

Medard Sseggona revealed that Zaake was supposed to go back to India at the end of November for medical supervision and treatment but he did not manage to go back so this is why he has become ill adding that they were waiting for police response.

“So we leave the police to decide” Sseggona concluded.

MP Francis Zzaake Butebi has reported to Kibuli CID headquarters on Monday as he was instructed where the detectives grilled him for more than seven-hours over treason cases and escaping from police study following the violence in Arua Municipality by-election on August 13th 2018.
