Ministry of education and sports on Friday released the PLE 2017 results where the failure rate has drooped to 9.1%
The results released and announced by the UNEB secretary Daniel Odongo at the prime minister’s office Kampala where male students have performed better their female counterparts while performance in rural UPE schools is still appalling.
Odongo observed that there is an improvement SST and integrated science whereas English and Mathematics were poorly performed with students failing to answer questions that required application of general knowledge.
However out of 646190 candidates who sat last year’s PLE ,UNEB has withheld 2569 results as it carries out investigations in alleged exam malpractice.
After, the UNEB chairperson Prof.Marry Okwakol handed over the results to Minister of education and sports Janet Kataha Museveni.
